QUENTIN

If not for Sylvester Stallone and episodes with barely 40-minute runtimes, I might have walked away from Tulsa King around mid-season because it’s becoming increasingly sillier. Goofy and rushed writing, a poor man’s Fast & Furious-esque “family” vibe, laughable swings in costuming, and situations that strain believability generate some mindless entertainment value that is objectively dumb. However, I grew up on Stallone movies, so I have an odd loyalty to it. At this point, Tulsa King is best left for Gen X and elder millennial dudes in the way that All’s Fair probably is best left for women with Stanley cups with “it’s wine o’clock!” script.
