I mean this in the most complimentary way possible. I feel dirty at the end of every episode of The Lowdown. It’s dark, and scuzzy, and filled with characters, including our “protagonist” Lee Raybon (Ethan Hawke), that get into the dirt for both good and bad. Season Two meanders a little bit more than its predecessor, losing my interest more in its early episodes. But with Hawke, Keith David, and the stacked cast of kooky character actors (including a palette cleansing Rafael Casal), I couldn’t help but continue watching where the corruption and fight against it would end up.
