Although The Boroughs is a well paced and engaging series that delivers strong Amblin supernatural vibes, it is quite predictable and the dialogue can feel a bit corny at times. That said, its veteran cast truly elevates the show and is the main reason to check it out. Each actor brings something refreshing to their character, which makes you care and root for them. While it definitely feels like Stranger Things with elders in a retirement community, it won't be Netflix's next phenomenon. Still, it's an easy and enjoyable watch if you're into the genre.
