Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 is an under baked addition to this universe. With setting itself between Seasons Two and Three, the story ends up boxing itself in and fails to add or even really connect anything to the lore. That said, the 3D animation style is a standout that gives the series a fresh and unique look, and while it’s unfortunate that none of the original cast returned to reprise their roles, the new voice actors do a solid job of resurrecting these characters. In the end, this is fine, but isn’t really essential viewing for Stranger Things fans.
