The Bad Batch feels less like its own distinct tale and more like a retread of The Clone Wars and Rebels, minus the magic of either. It's fine if you just want more of "Star Wars czar" Dave Filoni's work, but it's a shame that the show doesn't explore its unique setting (the rise of the Galactic Empire) more deeply. Still, there are some riveting moments in season one and Dee Bradley Baker, as always, demonstrates his unbelievable voice talent in portraying the clones. The Bad Batch is still finding its footing and will hopefully succeed by season two.
