Mulligan certainly isn’t the worst adult animation show I’ve seen (remember Hoops?), but it’s also nothing to write home about. Essentially a different take on Idiocracy, there are enough jokes to make you giggle a bit and some clever observations about the American political system, but they can’t overcome the feeling that this is an old side project that creators Robert Carlock and Sam Means dusted off for some reason. Still, like modern day Family Guy or The Simpsons, it’s good enough if you have a quick 30 minutes to kill, or you need some background noise when going to bed.
