If you have seen Heroes (2006), you will have a pretty decent approximation of the quality and plotline for this foreign series contemporary. Moving provides excellent CGI effects and is a lovely amalgamation of extreme violence and measured melodrama. Character development is where this series excels, but it is offset by the slow pacing used to accomplish the task, probably making a binge watch of Season One, which rings in at 20 episodes, feel like quite the chore. Additionally, K-drama newcomers will need to adjust to the “overacting” (and subtitles) that seems to be unique to the genre. Overall, though…very watchable.
