In its second season, Minx, which had a bumpy ride from renewed to canceled to a new network in a matter of months, still ably explores themes of women's sexual liberation and feminism in the 70s. However, it’s not quite as sharp or funny this time around, seemingly content to play it relatively safe by leaning more into its soapier elements. Plus, some story threads feel half-done, mostly because the series just has too many characters to give them all equal time. That said, it's not a bad show now, but Season Two is a bit of a sophomore slump.
