Both seasons of Loot have extreme highs (digging into its stacked cast’s characters and a crazy good soundtrack) and extreme lows (unfunny satirical jokes and bits). This latest season initially caved to those base impulses, but quickly turned its focus to the charming characters and their inherently quirky relationships. For the love of all that’s hilarious, ignore the first episode, as the swerve into the ensemble’s strong chemistry is as effective as its brilliant guest stars (Benjamin Bratt and O-T Fagbenle are having the most fun). Did I mention the great soundtrack? Because… damn, it’s fabulous. Bravo, Season Two. Bravo!
