QUENTIN

After a convoluted second season, Gangs of London mostly returns to form with Season Three. After two seasons of characters getting murderated, the series is at a point where it can do the remaining characters justice since the story isn’t so sprawling. This results in a storyline that is more A-to-B with fewer momentum-killing subplots (one late diversion aside). The brutal violence remains, though it’s less creative than in Season One, as does the unrelenting string of whiplash-inducing twists, turns, and double crosses. The more-than-three-year hiatus means it takes a minute to get back into it, but that’s a minor issue given how compelling it is.
