It pains me to say this, but Dark Side of the Ring may have run out of ideas. This is the first season in which a story hasn't really stuck with me. Even the three-episode premiere about the history of TNA was underwhelming. The quality of the presentation and interview subjects hasn't changed, but I think creators Evan Husney and Jason Eisener have simply already told the best stories available. To be fair, I felt the same about Season Five, but Season Six bounced back. I'm hoping lightning strikes twice; otherwise, maybe it’s time for another offshoot like Tales from the Territories.
