It’s possible that Gen Z will really take to Adults, possibly finding it incredibly relatable. However, for this 44-year-old, it’s essentially two hours of watching annoying, almost cartoonishly diverse characters (Lucy Freyer’s Billie is the only one that presents like a real person) stumble through life in unfunny ways. Like, what is funny about twentysomethings not knowing how to call customer service (“you can do that?”) or pay a bill (“what’s a check?”)? That said, I can appreciate that Gen Z might not think jokes from my generation’s hangout shows are funny either, so to each their own. Great guest appearance from Daredevil’s Charlie Cox, though.
