My review for Season Five won’t be five words long. But, if I were just talking about its back half, all you would see is “you know why I’m here.” I’m relieved these last 10-11 episodes finished so strong - both comically and emotionally - because I’d wondered if it was time to wrap up our journey with the Philly Public Schools crew. The comedy began to feel try-hard and the relationships weren’t growing. However, once a location switch happens, the real-life hardships of teaching once again drove the narrative and re-sparked the joys and pains that made you fall in love with this show.
