If you are a fan of B-level action movies (I am decidedly not), there is the remotest chance that King of Killers will serve as adequate late-night fodder. Its ambitious attempt at a John Wick knockoff with Guy Ritchie-style camerawork gave me hope, but unfortunately, poor acting and haphazard editing make it play more like a daytime soap opera. This contract killer calamity features truly terrible dialogue, and I spent most of the movie fantasizing about my own plan for hitman-style retribution for the sick Machiavellians that charged me $6.99 for the “privilege” to stream this train wreck!

King Of Killers attempts to deploy every cliché in the book of straight-to-video action films, yet fails at every single one of them. Filled to the absolute brim with terrible performances, awful lighting, and a couple buckets of CGI blood, glass, and smoke… King Of Killers tries to be a cheap John Wick knockoff, but clearly doesn’t have the budget or the technical skill to pull it off. Frank Grillo does his usual machismo schtick as the villainous Jorg Drakos, and admittedly, his performance is fine, but the bar is low because even he isn’t at his best.
