Don’t Look Back in Anger will, of course, work best for Oasis fans. Obviously, the music is on point, and there is a peek-behind-the-curtain aspect to Liam and Noel’s longtime feud. But it’s only a peek, as this documentary isn’t really about Oasis. The legendary band is simply a vehicle to explore the healing power and sense of belonging that music generates, especially live performances. As one might expect, it’s a little self-aggrandizing, and if you want more details about the hows and whys of the brothers’ split and subsequent reunion, you’ll be disappointed. But as a fan, I was surprisingly moved.
